The Icon Italy team looking for the perfect villa for the upcoming Christmas holidays

Villa Barchessa Panigai. Among the Prosecco hills and timeless peace, stay and wine tasting in the Villa.

EV ICON ITALY 2 – VILLA BARCHESSA PANIGAI

After leaving Matteo and Andrea at Tenuta Navelli, amid rackets and laughter on the tennis court, my journey continued northeast, to discover one of the most elegant and hidden areas of Veneto: the Prosecco hills. Here, in Cappella Maggiore, among quiet villages and UNESCO World Heritage vineyards, Villa Barchessa Panigai proved to be the perfect place to slow down, recharge my batteries, and immerse myself in history and nature.

We have a mission within a mission: to experience and reveal the wonders of this property, available all year round, and find the perfect villa for two groups of friends for the upcoming Christmas holidays.

The hidden Veneto: hills, villages, and Prosecco

The Prosecco hills are not just neat vineyards and picture-postcard views: they are home to medieval villages suspended in time, dirt roads winding between rows of Glera vines and ancient chapels. Cappella Maggiore, a small, elegant village, reveals cozy squares, historic shops, and hidden corners where life flows at its own pace. Strolling along the vineyard paths, amid filtered light and the scent of ripe grapes, is an experience that invites you to stop and listen.

Day 1 – Arrival at Villa Barchessa Panigai

Passing through the villa’s gate means entering a world suspended between neoclassical elegance and unspoiled nature. The barchessa, independent but part of the Villa Panigai estate, emerges at the end of a tree-lined avenue leading to a 17,000 m² park, among centuries-old trees, ponds with turtles, and colorful flowers.

The entrance is through a large portico with sofas and a billiard table, a veritable winter garden that connects the interior and exterior. The interiors, spread over three floors plus the panoramic tower, combine historical refinement with touches of contemporary design: a professional kitchen, a spa with sauna and hot tub, a panoramic terrace, and spacious living rooms. The first evening was spent walking in the park, breathing in the silence and letting the sunset light illuminate the tree branches and the pond below.

Day 2 – Relax and recharge between the pool and spa

The second day was entirely devoted to recharging my batteries. In the morning, I strolled through the vineyards and lawns, letting the scents and colors of nature be my only clock. The private pool, surrounded by the greenery of the park, was the perfect place to read, reflect on what to write about this place, and listen to the wind rustling through the trees.

In the afternoon, I explored the interior, including the panoramic library and the tower, which offers a complete view of the estate and the Prosecco hills. Every architectural detail tells a story and reveals the care that has gone into it, transforming a stay here into a complete sensory experience. When the sun went down, the garden lit up with golden hues, confirming that Villa Barchessa Panigai is not just a place to visit, but a refuge where time slows down and the presence of the landscape is enough.

Villa Barchessa Panigai: a haven of elegance and well-being

Villa Barchessa Panigai is the perfect combination of tranquility, history, and design. With its spa, private pool, 17,000 square meter park, and views of the Prosecco hills, it offers a complete experience of relaxation and rejuvenation. It is a place where nature and architecture merge, allowing guests to rediscover their inner rhythm in total privacy.

And our Christmas mission?
I imagined it like this: the table set for a festive meal, a large Christmas tree decorated by the owners, smelling of pine and warm lights, and a glass sparkling in your hands, the symbol par excellence of this land.

An unmissable treat? The chance to taste organic Prosecco inside a real barrel with over sixty years of history, at the L’Antica Quercia winery, just ten minutes from Barchessa Panigai. A place where time slows down: among the vineyards, old recovered barrels become natural sitting rooms where you can stop, listen to the sounds of the wind, and rediscover that balance that only nature can give.

Prosecco, laughter, and wonder: because good humor is the spice of every journey… and this one, among hills and toasts, promises to be unforgettable.
