Casina dei Pini is a country house dating back to 1860. It has been recently completely renovated and, in respect of the classical Tuscan tradition, ceilings with open-face beams and bricks have been retained whilst the floors and stairs have been lined with Tuscan travertine. Sited in a particularly happy position, the house offers a panoramic view from every side: the front looks out over the landscape of the Val di Chiana with the delightful borgo of Lucignano in the background whilst from the back of the house can be seen the top of the castle of Farnetella, an old medieval borgo, just one kilometre from the house. The house is built entirely in stone and is situated on the family farm in the heart of the fertile Val di Chiana. On the farm, whose main production is extra-virgin olive oil, guests can experience close contact with nature, taking part in the olive harvest and sampling, at the end of it, the good olive oil. The villa, located just minutes from the busy town of Sinalunga, famous for its fine craftsmanship, is in a strategic position for daily excursions to the beautiful villages in the neighbourhood and for sampling the high quality food and wine, like the famous salami and the Tuscan Chianina beef. Situated in the heart of Tuscany, near the centre of the little town of Sinalunga, it is an ideal spot for exploring the natural and artistic beauties of the two central regions of Italy, Tuscany and Umbria, as it is not far from the highway connecting Perugia and Siena.
