Villa Panorama: the second-to-last stop in the heart of Icon Italy. Jacuzzis, e-bikes and two days of blue skies and peace

There is a Tuscany that welcomes us… Like home; the landscape changes, the spaces change, but you feel safe, surrounded by beauty and peace. We have returned here; me, Cristina, Ginevra and Silvia, in a moment suspended between the melancholy of the last stage and the joy of being together again. At Villa Panorama, we have once again tuned into the slow rhythm of the hills, the breath of fresh air and the desire to stop and listen.

Day 1 – The breath of nature

The road leading up to Chianni smells of wood and damp earth. Silvery olive trees accompany us to the gate of Villa Panorama. Entering here is like crossing an invisible border: that between haste and peace… between deafening noise and dense, conspiratorial silence.

The rooms of the villa welcome us with a warm embrace. The vaulted ceilings, the natural terracotta underfoot, the light filtering through the large windows. There is a perfect balance between past and present, between the solidity of the 18th-century farmhouse and the delicacy of the details — the clean-lined furniture, the pastel-coloured walls, the large windows that let in the view. Perhaps that is why it is called Villa Panorama: it leaves you no choice but to look outside and say “wow” every time (editor’s note).

We left our bags in the reading room, where a small wooden table already holds our books. Today is the day of the e-bike experience with Arianna & friends.
We set off into the hills, our hair blowing in the wind and our wheels rolling fast between olive trees and cypresses. The landscape changes with every bend: green turns to gold, then ochre, then the subtle red of autumn leaves. We laugh, we stop to look, we breathe. It’s a different way of getting around, full of good, clean energy; every pedal stroke takes us further away from the hustle and bustle of the city and brings us closer to ourselves.

We return in the afternoon, tired but full of good feelings. The villa’s wellness area awaits us: the hot tub is in the centre of a glass room, from which you can see everything: the countryside, the sunset, the sky turning pink.
We immerse ourselves in the steam of the water and remain there, in silence, watching the hills fall asleep. Then an aperitif: glasses in hand and a plate of pecorino cheese, honey and oil from the villa. Simplicity, “Tuscanity”, authenticity.

The evening descends slowly. The fire comes to life in the fireplace, and we abandon any thoughts that distract us from that peace. We talk, we remember, we already imagine our meeting with Monica, who is waiting for us for the last leg of this journey that always feels like a new beginning.

Day 2 – Time for yourself

The morning arrives with a gentle, almost golden light. Outside, the fog brushes against the olive grove, and the aroma of coffee mingles with that of wood. It is the most beautiful day of our stay, one dedicated entirely to us.
Each of us finds our own space: Cristina writes, Ginevra reads, Silvia prepares herbal tea with herbs from the small garden next to the kitchen. I open the windows and let in the fresh air, like a purification ritual.

Villa Panorama seems to breathe with us. Inside, the calm is tangible: the soft colours, the soft fabrics, the light that changes hour by hour. There is a feeling of perfect balance, as if every detail – from the chromotherapy of the emotional shower to the muffled silence of the rooms – were designed to restore harmony.

In the afternoon, we devote ourselves to self-care. Face masks, creams, a few pages of diary. Time slows down, relaxes. Meanwhile, the sun filters through the curtains, drawing amber lines on the stone walls.

Before sunset, we go out into the garden. The 30 hectares of land surrounding the farmhouse stretch out like a mosaic of light and shadow: olive trees, oaks, paths. There, amid the scents of lavender and rosemary, we rediscover the meaning of this journey — the search for something that cannot be bought, that can only be found when you stop.

In the evening, on the patio, we toast once again. We know that tomorrow we will leave, that the last leg of our journey awaits us, the one where we will also reunite with Monica. But tonight we stay here, immersed in this seemingly fragile and at times almost poignant balance that Tuscany knows how to offer.

Villa Panorama shines in the quiet, like a promise of light that always returns to surprise you.
