Group Roadshow in Sicily, between Palermo and Catania, with the participation of over 40 property owners

Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean, is a crossroads of civilisations offering an extraordinary variety of landscapes: from golden beaches to mountains, by way of Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano. This diversity makes the island a coveted destination for travellers seeking authentic experiences and breathtaking scenery.

Catania, situated on the slopes of Etna and overlooking the Ionian Sea, is a city rich in history and culture. Its Baroque historic centre was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002. In 2016, Catania received the “Best Liberty City” award for the preservation of its Art Nouveau architectural heritage.

Holiday Rentals and Luxury Tourism: Sicily on the Rise

In recent years, Sicily has seen significant growth in the short-term rental and luxury tourism sector. In 2023, the island welcomed over 16 million tourists, an increase of 10.8% compared to the previous year. Coastal resorts, in particular, are attracting investors thanks to the income potential derived from tourism.

These trends highlight how Sicily has become a benchmark destination for luxury tourism and prestigious rentals.

And it is precisely in this context that we at Emma Villas have decided to embark on a new project: sharing the latest news from the corporate world. Discover more about the Group at this link.

And what better occasion than the Roadshow in Sicily, dedicated to the more than 40 property owners in the region? This week, our CEO Giammarco Bisogno, together with the Head of Group Sales Roberto Condito, the Group Portfolio Development & Evaluation manager Fabrizio Cinfrignini, the Area Property Manager Supervisor Andrea Di Marco, and the local Portfolio Manager, Alverio Leone, are right here in the land of the sun, Sicily, to meet our owners and embark on a journey of growth, loyalty, and property investments together with them.

📊 In the 2024-2025 biennium, Sicily has represented a driving area in Emma Villas’ commercial strategy: in 2025, the portfolio boasts 61 villas in the region (+3% compared to 2024). The average price per booking is increasing, reaching nearly €7,000 as of 6 May 2025 (compared to approximately €5,600 recorded in the same period of 2024). The average length of stay is also on the rise, currently at 1.26 weeks (stays of approximately 9 days) compared to 1.22 weeks the previous year (+3%).

🗣 Giammarco Bisogno, CEO & Managing Director of the Group, commented on the sidelines:
“We are contributing to bringing a very high-profile and quality-conscious tourism to the island, fostering the growth and success of a destination of timeless beauty. This is how we aim to enrich the tourism offering, attract visitors who generate value for the local economy, and further strengthen Sicily’s visibility as a destination of excellence in the international luxury tourism landscape.”
