TORRE GINESTRE: A Serene Tuscan Retreat For The 4th Stop of EV ICON Italy

You don’t have to travel far to find peace and feel rejuvenated.
Sometimes, all it takes is a narrowing road, a gate opening onto a silent avenue where only the song of cicadas and crickets keeps you company. The wind caresses your face, reminding you that time—and the ability to share it with those you love—is the ultimate luxury.

This is true peace. In the heart of the Tuscan countryside.

Tuscany is our center. It’s where Emma Villas was born, and from here, it began to embrace all of Italy, one region at a time. But roots, as we know, remain. And every return to Tuscany always feels like coming home.

For the fourth stop of ICON Italy, we came back here, among the Arezzo hills, to Torre Ginestre. It’s a villa that welcomes you with simplicity, letting the details speak for themselves: the light, the silence, the way time slows down the moment you cross the threshold.

At this stage of our journey, our team split up. For now, we’ll tell you about Silvia and Giorgio, who arrived in Tuscany to enjoy a few days of peace, relaxation, and slow living, immersed in the green heart of a land that knows how to care for its inhabitants, even those just passing through.

Arrival at Torre Ginestre: The Thrill of Entering a Villa in the Arezzo Hills

Day 1. The arrival: the threshold of a new time

We arrive in the late afternoon, as a soft light stretches over the hills. Torre Ginestre greets us from atop a quiet knoll, with the city of Arezzo unfolding in the distance like a painting.

Opening the gate and driving slowly up the avenue feels like crossing a boundary: on one side, time is dictated by schedules; on the other, it’s the suspended time of a holiday.

We step inside and pause. A moment of silence—that sense of wonder you feel only when something exceeds your expectations. The rooms are spacious, bright, and detailed without being excessive. A scent of stone and wood mixes with the fresh air drifting in from windows overlooking the park.

The kitchen is a real surprise: professional, spacious, and opening onto the porch. We can already picture long lunches, slow breakfasts, and afternoons spent making pizza in the wood-fired oven.

Upstairs, the bedrooms invite us in one by one with their understated, cozy style. Each room has a different character, but they all share common traits: light, soft colors, and the comfort that comes from knowing you can truly relax. Some offer glimpses of the landscape, while in others, the song of the cicadas is more pronounced. It already feels like home.

As we unpack, someone discovers the spa, its main feature is a stunning glass wall. The jacuzzi and sauna overlook the park which is perfect for Silvia, who was seeking pure relaxation. Across from it, we spot a small gym by the pool, shaded by a pergola that is Perfect for Giorgio, who wouldn’t miss his daily workout, not even on vacation. It’s a promise of relaxation that will begin tomorrow, but it already makes us feel like we’re in a place designed for rejuvenation.

Outside, the sun sets, and we are there, in silence, watching it disappear behind Arezzo. The holiday has just begun, but we have already slowed down. And that, perhaps, is the first true luxury.

Torre Ginestre: Jacuzzi, Gym, and a Pet-Friendly Welcome in Tuscany

Day 2. Slow walks, the scent of home, and a treat for everyone

The morning began at the unhurried pace of those with nowhere to be. Silvia and Giorgio enjoyed a long walk through the lush greenery surrounding the villa. The countryside here is silent, immersive, and seems to slow down your thoughts. There’s no noise, save for the wind in the olive trees and their footsteps on the grass.

Lunch was prepared by Laura, the villa’s owner, who welcomed us with warmth and simplicity: a home-cooked meal served under the porch as sunlight filtered through the beams and the cicadas sang their summer concert.

The afternoon drifted by with the same calm. Silvia carved out a moment for herself with a dip in the jacuzzi overlooking the green landscape, followed by an aperitivo with a view. Giorgio, meanwhile, took advantage of the small outdoor gym for a workout before unwinding in the warmth of the sauna.

Meanwhile, in the garden, Laura was tending to her dogs with the same care she showed us. Because here, they too are family. And if Emma Villas calls itself pet-friendly, it’s because of gestures like these—spontaneous, authentic, and full of care.
